Childrens Museum

We had such a fun day with Owen and Lauren at the newly finished Children's Museum!!! It was SO CUTE.. I cant wait to take Elliot back again :) We started off with a trip to the Dr. of course..

Elliot was IN LOVE with the babies

She had a hard time picking one out

Examining the baby

checking out the bad break... could it be... with she like x-rays also?!

She also loved the crack in the floor, although I don't think that was part of the museum :)

Then we headed to the grocery to do some shopping.. Here Owen is picking out his chicken
(Owen was so fun to watch- he would place one item in his cart and then quickly place it back on the shelf again.. talk about one organized child!!!)

Owen wanted bananas.. Elliot wanted apples

crazy about the corn

In the tiny Texas area

They had a bubble tube that made fun noises when you pressed the buttons.. talk about FUN :)
Notice her intense concentration - bubbles are serious business

Birthday Party - Part 1

Our sweet peanut turned one year old on 12.30! We had such a great day with Elliot. We took her to get her first kids meal, went to ikea :) and ended with a trip to the park. Then on 1.9 we had her first birthday party at our house. We had all our family and friends with us to celebrate her big day! It was such a special day! Thank you everyone for coming.. thank you's are in the mail- I promise :)

Elliot's big day was SO MUCH FUN to plan! I'm not going to lie I planned for months. We did a cute owl theme with pink and orange as the main colors.. I think it turned out so cute!! I cant wait till next year :) I know my husband is dying as he reads this. HA!

Those fancy bunting flags took me FOREVER to make.. I think I will use them for every birthday from here on out. Even Ben's :)

for the food we had gourmet mac n cheese (so good), turkey and brie sandwiches, spinach salad, veggies and dip, warm spinach dip with baguettes slices, pb & j's for the kids :), apple sauce, gold fish crackers and of course CUPCAKES :)

yummy cupcakes

for the drinks we had hot apple cider, ice tea, bottle water and juice boxes for the kids

Nana and Elliot

I wish I could have sat at the kids table! HA! I made them a fun owl craft and coloring sheets

For the favors we did homemade s'mores kits. I made homemade marshmallows a couple days before her party so I pretty much forced people to take them home :) The thought of all those marshmallows going bad made me sad.

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY PEANUT!! WE LOVE YOU
